Solar PV systems
We assess whether solar makes sense for your building, then design and deliver a photovoltaic system sized to your roof, your electricity use and your utility’s rules.
When you need it
- You want to cut electricity costs or meet an emissions target.
- A new building or roof replacement makes it a good time to add solar.
- You’re pursuing LEED or net-zero energy.
- You want to know whether your roof is suitable before getting quotes.
What we do
Assess feasibility
We look at roof area, orientation, shading, structure and your electricity use, and estimate production and payback.
Design
We size the array and inverters, lay out the system and prepare drawings for permits.
Get approvals
We handle the electrical permit and the utility interconnection application.
Install and commission
The system is installed, tested and connected, with monitoring so you can see what it produces.
What you receive
- A production and financial estimate
- Design drawings and permit applications
- Utility interconnection approval
- A commissioned system with production monitoring
Questions
Does solar work in Canada’s climate?
Yes. Cold temperatures actually help panel efficiency, and much of southern Canada gets good sun, particularly the Prairies. Snow reduces winter output, but most production happens from spring to fall.
What happens to power I don’t use?
Depending on your province and utility, surplus power can be exported to the grid for a credit under net metering or micro-generation rules.
Is my roof strong enough?
We check. Panels add weight and wind load, so older roofs may need a structural review, and a roof near the end of its life should be replaced first.
