LEED consulting and certification
We guide your project through LEED certification, from setting a target and choosing credits to energy modeling, commissioning and the documentation review.
When you need it
- You’re starting design and want a realistic certification target.
- A tenant, lender or municipality requires LEED or a similar rating.
- Your project is registered and needs help with energy, commissioning or documentation.
- You want to certify an existing building’s operations.
What we do
Set the target
We run a workshop with the team to build a scorecard and pick a certification level the budget supports.
Plan the credits
We assign responsibilities and identify the credits that need early decisions, such as energy performance and commissioning.
Deliver analyses
We provide the energy modeling, commissioning and other analyses within our scope.
Document and submit
We track documentation through design and construction, and manage the review to certification.
What you receive
- A LEED scorecard and credit responsibility matrix
- Energy modeling and commissioning documentation
- Submission management and responses to reviewer comments
Questions
Which version of LEED applies?
LEED v5 opened for registration in Canada on April 28, 2025. Registration for LEED v4 and v4.1 closed at the end of the first quarter of 2026, so new projects register under v5.
Who runs LEED in Canada?
The Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) administers LEED in Canada.
Does LEED cost more to build?
It can, depending on the target. Setting the target early and choosing credits that fit the project keeps the added cost down, and energy and water savings offset part of it over the building’s life.
